Resize an Instagram feed post – 1080 × 1080 px
The square feed post at 1080 × 1080 pixels is the classic Instagram format. Instagram scales photos down to a maximum width of 1080 pixels, so anything larger is reduced anyway.
Format: Instagram Post (1:1) · 1080 × 1080 pixels · aspect ratio 1:1

Transparent cut-out: set Background → Transparent. JPEG cannot store transparency.
For web developers
Applies to chat and story templates. Without a custom choice, the template default is used.
