Instagram portrait crop – 3:4, 1080 × 1440 px
Since the profile grid was changed, Instagram displays posts at a 3:4 ratio instead of 1:1. Instagram explicitly lists 1080 pixels wide and up to 1440 pixels tall as supported. Uploading only 1:1 therefore wastes visible space in the grid.
